Service Description
In this one day course you will learn how to create a single sized shaped headboard. Whether you want to make a headboard for your home, begin a new hobby or just fancy a day of crafting this is the workshop for you! With a selection of shaped boards to choose from on the day you will learn how to cut and apply the foam, measure and cut out your fabric, work with the fabric and staple it on, attach the piping, back-tack the border, and add the back board cloth and bed attachments along with some final and finishing touches. Our workshop offers space for four to six workbenches with a full set of upholstery tools and an airline with pneumatic staple guns. We supply all tools and materials however we suggest you bring 2 meters of your own fabric as we don’t stock fabrics at our workshop. If you want a contrasting piping, please bring the fabric for that also. If you are going to order fabric online, we may be able to supply it for you at a discount as we have accounts with many of the major fabric retailers. Our workshop is located in the beautiful gardens of the Llwyn-y-maen estate near Oswestry and offers ample parking. We will provide hot drinks and light refreshments throughout the day but you will need to bring your own packed lunch with you. Please also wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

Cancellation Policy
BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS All courses must have a paid deposit for your place to be reserved. We hope you won’t need to cancel but if you do, our cancellation policy is as follows; 1) Cancellations made not later than 28 days in advance of the start date - will be refunded. 2) Cancellations made between 28 days and 14 days in advance of the start date will be refunded at 50% of the course fee. We will endeavour to resell your place and if successful, will reimburse your fee minus an admin fee of 20%. 3) Cancellations made 14 days in advance of the start date – we regret that we are unable to refund your course fees. If we are able to resell your place we will reimburse your fee minus an admin fee of 20%. Payments must be made in full for late bookings (made 7 days or less in advance of the start date) and in the event of cancellation, conditions 2 and 3 will apply. Bookings made after 14 days in advance of the start date are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Day's Upholstery School reserves the right to withdraw, suspend or discontinue courses. Days Upholstery School also reserves the right to rearrange course dates or days or to arrange appropriate alternative teaching for the courses where desired. If courses are cancelled prior to the course start date, a full refund of fees will be made. If courses are discontinued by Days Upholstery School once begun, a pro rata refund or credit will normally be made, with an adjustment for any course dates delivered and goods or materials supplied. If discontinued by the student, any refund or credit will be solely at the discretion of Days Upholstery School. Days Upholstery School cannot be responsible for students’ personal possessions. Whilst we endeavour to take great care, we cannot accept responsibility for losses or damage to furniture or fabric. Students who arrange to store things at our workshop do so at their own risk. Any photographs taken during the courses will remain the copyright of Days Upholstery School.
